Chicken Invaders: Revenge of the Yolk/Waves

Waves are segments in which the chapters are divided. Each chapter has 10 waves. In most of the chapters there is a boss at the end. After the last wave of a chapter is beaten, it will show the words: "System Clear, Prepare for Warp!". Below you can see every wave from Revenge of the Yolk and what each contain.

Prologue

This "chapter" is unique in that it only has one wave, which is the boss wave where you fight the newly debuted Boss Chicken. Another unique thing about this chapter is that you start with ⚡10 Lightning Frier.

The Great Unknown

The Great Unknown is the first true chapter in the game. Chickens in regular waves wear red vests. The ⚡10 Lightning Frier is taken away from you, leaving you with your default weapon from previous games, the ⚡0 Ion Blaster. It marks the debut of Chickens, Chests, Asteroids, Balloon Chickens, Rogue Missiles and the U.C.O. Three weapons are available to drop: Ion Blaster, Neutron Gun, and Laser Cannon.

	Wave 2 Chicken Acrobatics Groups with 14 red, one orange, and one yellow Chickens arrive four times from various corners: upper right, bottom right, bottom left, upper right. Only one group may be present onscreen.
	Wave 3 Pop till they drop! 20 Balloon Chickens appear from the sides of the screen. They can hold either one or two balloons. Popping them all will result in the Chicken holding it falling.
	Double Trouble More than meets the eye! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Inbound Missile Strike! Take cover! 12 rouge missiles arrive from the top of the screen trying to hit you.
	Asteroids Ah, it's the obligatory asteroid wave! 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen. The wave is random every time it's played.
	Treble Trouble Try saying that three times fast! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 8 Chicken Carousel 8 red Chickens and 12 pink Chickens fly in rings around the center of the screen. Once one of the rings is killed, another one appears to replace it, which will happen again after that for a total amount of three times. This wave has in total 24 red Chickens and 36 pink Chickens, or 60 in total.
	Wave 9 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	U.C.O.* Encounter! * Unidentified Chicken Object The first U.C.O. arrives to fight you.

Cygnus Galactic Arm

Cygnus Galactic Arm is the second chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear pink vests. The Mother-Hen Ship reprises as the boss from The Next Wave, and Egg Drones. Starting from this chapter, Vulcan Chaingun gift boxes may appear.

	Wave 12 Chicken Harmonics 3 groups of 12 Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen, flying in a zig-zag pattern. The first one starts from the left side of the screen, the second one from the right side, and the third one from the left side again. The other groups only start after all Chickens from the previous group appeared onscreen.
	Wave 13 Chicken Geometry 10 groups of 6 Chickens each form triangles. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 14 Two birds with one stone! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Caution: Entering egg-drone minefield! 8 egg drones arrive from the bottom border of the screen, flying up.

	Wave 17 Three strikes and you're out! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 18 We're surrounded! Four groups of 12 Chickens fly around the middle of the screen, getting closer and closer until leaving, one at a time, starting with the first group from the top left corner, then the one from the bottom left corner, then the one from the top right corner, and then the one from the bottom right corner.
	Wave 19 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Blast from the past It's the Mother-Hen ship! The Mother-Hen Ship comes back for revenge.

Perseus Galactic Arm

Perseus Galactic Arm is the third chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear blue vests. It marks the debut of the Strip-teasing Boss, Eggships and UFOs. Starting from this chapter, Lightning Frier gift boxes will appear.

	Wave 22 Do the Chicken Huddle! Similar to Chicken Geometry, but here, the groups are unable to move once they appear onscreen. 10 groups of 5 Chickens each form rings. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 23 Close Encounters 20 UFOs of varying sizes appear from the left side of the screen. The wave is random every time it's played.
	Wave 24 Two's company... Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Wave 25 Eggship fly-by 20 Eggships appear from the bottom corners of the screen and make arcs around the center of the screen, one by one.
	Wave 26 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen. The wave is random every time it's played.
	Wave 27 ...three's a crowd! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 28 Chicken Square Dancing Similar to Chicken Geometry. 10 groups of 9 Chickens each form squares. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 29 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	It gets cold in space... ...let's turn up the heat! The Strip-teasing Boss arrives to fight you.

Norma Galactic Arm

Norma Galactic Arm is the fourth chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear cyan vests. It reintroduces Terminator Chickens and Reinforcements waves from the previous game. Starting from this chapter, Plasma Rifle gift boxes may appear.

	Terminator Chickens They'll stop at nothing!Reintroduced from The Next Wave, 30 Terminator Chickens will now appear in any edge of the screen and chase you around. Only four can be present at a time.
	Wave 33 Reinforcements Reintroduced from The Next Wave. 10 groups of 2 Chickens fly down. On their way, they get reinforced by four other Chickens. In total, there are 60 Chickens to defeat.
	Wave 34 Two of a kind Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Wave 35 Chicken Acrobatics Repeat of Wave 2, except this time there is a second group of Chickens. Groups with 8 red, one orange, and one yellow Chickens arrive eight times from various corners: upper right, bottom right, bottom left, upper right. Only two groups may be present onscreen.
	Wave 36 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Wave 37 All good things come in threes Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 38 Do the Chicken Huddle! Repeat of Wave 22 with more Chickens. 11 groups of 6 Chickens each form rings. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 39 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Another U.C.O. sighting! It's definitely hostile! The U.C.O. returns with new weapons to fight you.

Deep space encounter: Comet Chase

Comet Chase is a special chapter, and the fifth one in the game. Ultra-celeritas comets will appear throughout the chapter. This also marks the debut of the Mysterious Ship.

	Warp 9.5 Repeat of previous wave, this time with 28 Comets and they're slightly smaller and faster.
	Warp 9.6 Repeat of previous wave, this time with 31 Comets and they're slightly smaller and faster.
	Warp 9.7 Repeat of previous wave, this time with 33 Comets and they're slightly smaller and faster.
	Warp 9.8 Repeat of previous wave, this time with 35 Comets and they're slightly smaller and faster.
	Warp 9.9 She can't take much more of this, captain! Repeat of previous wave, this time with 37 Comets and they're slightly smaller and faster.
	What's this? A mysterious ship approaches... A mysterious ship arrives to fight you.

Scutum-Crux Galactic Arm

Scutum-Crux Galactic Arm is the sixth chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear green vests. Starting from this chapter, Utensil Poker gift boxes may appear, assuming you unlocked it first.

	Wave 52 Chicken Carousel Repeat of Wave 8 with more Chickens. 8 red Chickens, 12 pink Chickens and 16 blue Chickens fly in rings around the center of the screen. Once one of the rings is killed, another one appears to replace it, which will only happen once. This wave has in total 16 red Chickens, 24 pink Chickens, and 32 blue Chickens, or 72 in total.
	Wave 53 Eggships approaching from behind! 15 Egg Ships arrive from the bottom of the screen, making their way up, one by one.
	Wave 54 'It takes two, baby' Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Wave 55 Pop till they drop! Repeat of Wave 3. 30 Balloon Chickens appear from the sides of the screen. They can hold either three or four balloons. Popping them all will result in the Chicken holding it falling.
	Wave 56 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Wave 57 Third time's a charm Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 58 Chicken Square Dancing Repeat of Wave 28 with more Chickens. 10 groups of 9 Chickens each form 4x3 rectangles. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 59 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Congratulations, they're twins! Two Boss Chickens arrive to fight you.

Sagittarius Galactic Arm

Sagittarius Galactic Arm is the seventh chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear yellow vests.

	Wave 64 Double Trouble Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Terminator Chickens They'll stop at nothing! Repeat of Wave 32 with more Terminator Chickens. 45 Terminator Chickens chase you around. Only six can be present at a time.
	Wave 66 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Wave 67 Treble Trouble Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 68 Reinforcements Repeat of Wave 33 with more Chickens. 12 groups of 2 Chickens fly down. On their way, they get reinforced by four other Chickens. In total, there are 72 Chickens to defeat.
	Wave 69 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Close Encounters ...of the chicken kind! The U.C.O. comes back yet again with more weapons to fight you.

Orion Galactic Arm

Orion Galactic Arm is the eighth chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear orange vests.

	Wave 78 Close Encounters Repeat of Wave 23 with more UFOs. 35 UFOs of varying sizes appear from the left side of the screen. The UFOs can also shoot two neutrons at once.
	Wave 79 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Is it hot in here? ...or is it just me? The Strip-teasing boss returns, much more aggressive than before.

Sirius

Sirius is the ninth chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear gray vests.

	Wave 82 Chicken Harmonics Repeat of Wave 12 with more Chickens. 6 groups of 12 Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen, flying in a zig-zag pattern. The first one starts from the left side of the screen, the second one from the right side, and the third one from the left side again. The other groups only start after all Chickens from the previous group appeared onscreen. The other three groups do the same thing as the first three later on.
	Wave 83 Reinforcements Repeat of Wave 33 with more Chickens. 15 groups of 2 Chickens fly down. On their way, they get reinforced by four other Chickens. In total, there are 90 Chickens to defeat.
	Wave 84 Two's company... Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Wave 85 Eggship fly-by Repeat of Wave 25 with a different setup. 16 Eggships appear from the bottom corners of the screen and make arcs around the center of sides of the screen, one by one.
	Wave 86 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Wave 87 ...three's a crowd! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 88 The 'chicken' wave! Repeat of Wave 62 with more Chickens. 102 Chickens form an actual wave.
	Wave 89 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	Attack of the Clones! Four Boss Chickens arrive to fight you.

Deep space encounter: Meteor Storm

Meteor Storm is a special chapter, and the tenth one in the game. You will need to survive the onslaught of red asteroids, getting harder every wave. This reintroduces the red asteroids from the first two games.

	Wave 95 Incoming! Hang in there! Repeat of previous wave, this time the asteroids are slightly faster.
	Wave 96 Incoming! Repeat of previous wave, this time the asteroids are slightly faster.
	Wave 97 Incoming! Repeat of previous wave, this time the asteroids are slightly faster.
	Wave 98 Incoming! Repeat of previous wave, this time the asteroids are slightly faster.
	Wave 99 Incoming! Last one! Repeat of previous wave, this time the asteroids are slightly faster.
	U.C.O. approaching! The U.C.O. returns one last time with all but one of its previous weapons to fight you.

Alpha Centauri

Alpha Centauri is the eleventh chapter. Chickens in regular waves wear red vests, just like in The Great Unknown.

	Wave 103 Chicken Geometry Repeat of Wave 13 with more Chickens. 10 groups of 6 Chickens each form triangles. Five groups can be present at a time.
	Wave 104 A bird in the hand... Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Wave 105 Chicken Carousel Repeat of Wave 52 with more Chickens and no ring replacements. 8 red Chickens, 12 pink Chickens, 16 blue Chickens and 20 cyan Chickens fly in rings around the center of the screen. This wave has in total 8 red Chickens, 12 pink Chickens, 16 blue Chickens, and 20 cyan Chickens, or 56 in total.
	Wave 106 Asteroids 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Wave 107 One, two... and three! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Wave 108 Pop till they drop! Repeat of Wave 62 with more Chickens. 50 Balloon Chickens appear from the sides of the screen. They can hold either four or five balloons. Popping them all will result in the Chicken holding it falling.
	Wave 109 Bonus Challenge! 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	You can leave your hat on! The Strip-teasing returns again for the last time, much more aggressive than before.

The Solar System

The Solar System is the twelfth and final chapter in the game, as you revisit locations from The Next Wave on your way to the Yolk-Star™. Chickens all wear checkered vests, but not all spawn Coins.

	Now passing through Neptune Repeat of Wave 23 with more UFOs. 40 UFOs of varying sizes appear from the left side of the screen. The UFOs can also shoot three neutrons at once.
	Now passing through Uranus Repeat of Wave 32 with more Terminator Chickens. 60 Terminator Chickens chase you around. Only eight can be present at a time.
	Now passing through Saturn Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a row of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens once for every row, resulting in this wave having 48 Chickens in total.
	Now passing through Jupiter Repeat of Wave 35. Groups with 14 red, one orange, and one yellow Chickens arrive eight times from various corners: upper right, bottom right, bottom left, upper right. Only two groups may be present onscreen.
	Now passing through Mars 60 asteroids of different sizes appear from either the sides or the top border of the screen.
	Now passing through Earth Woo-hoo! Three rows of eight Chickens arrive from the sides of the screen. Once a column of Chickens is killed, another one will come in to replace it. This only happens twice for every row, resulting in this wave having 72 Chickens in total.
	Now passing through Venus Repeat of Wave 29 with more Chickens. 10 groups of 20 Chickens each form 5x4 rectangles. Only three groups can be present at a time.
	Now passing through Mercury 60 chests appear from the top of the screen.
	The Yolk-Star™! Now you'll pay for everything! The Yolk-Star™ appears for the final fight.

Trivia

• Chicken Harmonics is the only wave with a placeholder name in earlier releases.
• In Christmas Edition, All Asteroid waves were renamed Snowstorm! until newer versions.
• Waves used to have more Chickens before the game was re-rendered with 2x higher quality graphics from version 3.8x-onwards. This can be seen for example in Classic Invasion waves, which used to have four rows of Chickens instead of three. The U.C.O. bosses were also nerfed, with their patterns made less complex.
• In the beta versions, Comet Chase used to be much longer, and certain waves were shuffled. Chicken Square Dancing and Chicken Geometry waves were also harder, as the Chicken groups were allowed to fly lower down.
• This is the last Chicken Invaders game to reintroduce classic waves until the release of Universe.
